VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. Assault gun wrap with piped skull collar patches for a Heer Feldwebel from Sturmgeschütz-Abteilung 239, constructed o midwar quality field grey wool having a brownish tone, lined in cement colored ribbed cotton, with 'bracket style' stampings in black ink with size markings and F/44 depot plus RBNr stamp on the opposite internal pocket, wrap has webbed belt hook support straps and grey colored HBT tightening tapes at the inner waist, the large front closure buttons are made of finished wood, the smaller buttons for lapel, tie tabs and cuffs are of a dark grey composite material, shoulder strap buttons are pebbled painted steel, insignia hand sewn subdued national emblem (as seen on another veteran sourced example from this maker - see page 25 [markings] and on pages 66 & 67 of Panzer Feldjacke vol. 2 by Scott Pritchett), the machine applied dark green badge cloth collar patches have synthetic piping, each has a zinc skull with two brass prongs penetrating the collar, the matched pair of slip on shoulder straps with synthetic piping have machine applied subdued NCO tresse and one large zinc rank pip each, the shoulder strap slides have machine sewn chain embroidery, there are original loops for one breast badge, in excellent plus and completely without damage, repair or alteration, beautiful example, USD $7300 NEW PRICE
