VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Set of Heer M36 style service blouse and trousers for an I.R. 119 Unteroffizier, both pieces made to a very high quality of early war issue field grey wool, blouse with dark green collar, brass hook and eye at the throat, five button front, four pleated patch pockets and adjustable cuffs, it is lined in and has a bandage pocket of ribbed cotton, garment is stamped with maker information, below that are the size markings and H40 depot stamp, small black glass buttons are stitched at cuffs and lower collar liner positions, each cuff is missing its outermost button, the bandage pocket button is also absent and the three collar liner buttons that had been attached to the inner collar have been removed, a couple of the painted pebbled alloy buttons have been slightly repositioned at the from closure, each sleeve has been lengthened with the addition of extra field grey wool, there are two openings for suspension of a sword although one is closed, mounted Infanterie piped litzen are machine sewn to the collar, the light grey on dark green national emblem is factory sewn in the 'zip and flip' fashion, being machine sewn across the top of the eagle's wing, then being flipped over and the lower portions being sewn by hand, included are a matched set of Feldbluse style shoulder straps with white chain stitched embroidery, the metallic NCO tresse applied to collar and straps is machine sewn, a high quality Waffenfeldwebel specialty patch is hand sewn to the lower right sleeve, it is hand embroidered in yellow cord on a dark green badge cloth base, there are loops for two breast badges and a KVK ribbon is sewn to the second buttonhole; the trousers have lining and pocket bags of ribbed white cotton, having a small watch pocket, two buttoned hip pockets and one buttoned rear pocket, with the complete set of originally sewn buttons - dished steel buttons are sewn to the outer waistband; fly, front and rear pockets all have grey colored composite buttons, having a rear tightening belt with black painted buckle, with hemmed cuffs, the inner waistband is stamped in black ink with maker information, sizes and '40 depot; both pieces were lightly service worn, blouse has no holes or repairs, the trousers have a couple of tiny moth holes and some faint insect tracking, USD $3175 NEW PRICE
