VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Excellent special utility overgarment for use by a Heer Nebelwerfer Unteroffizier, intended to be worn over the existing service blouse, constructed of reed green colored drillich material, it is necessarily amply dimensioned having wide sleeves and three metal dished buttons at each cuff end, the front closure has five buttons of the same type as does the single pleated chest patch pocket, there is also one internal chest pocket, underarms are vented, the internal waist tightening tape with HBT weave is partly covered with a tunnel of ribbed cotton, there are four reinforced openings at the waist for wear with a separate belt, collar has hook and eye, garment was set up for wear with slip on shoulder straps and a matching pair of mid war quality straps having synthetic piping and machine applied subdued NCO tresse are included, the subdued woven Heer national emblem is originally hand sewn to the right breast, Essen maker and size stamping were made with white ink at the inner lapel, finest example of this rare garment we have seen, USD $2750 HOLD
