VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Crisp Heer M42 style drillich service blouse for a Transport EM, exceptional example of the more rarely encountered M42 model, constructed of reed green colored drillich fabric, having a steel hook and eye at the throat, six button front closure, four patch pockets with scalloped pocket flaps and adjustable cuffs, lining materials and bandage pocket are made of grey colored rayon and flat cotton, the belt hook support straps are webbed, the inner surfaces of the garment are stamped in several places in white ink with the number 0300 inside rectangles, size and depot markings are also in white ink, the latter may read St.44, the bandage pocket has RBNr stampings in white ink, the dark field grey painted pebbled buttons are help with S rings, the machine shoulder strap buttons are sewn into place, the pressed paper buttons sewn into place for the collar liner and cuffs all remain and are originally stitched, the subdued woven pattern insignia is factory machine stitched, the collar Litzen are straight machine stitched, the national emblem is zig zag stitched, included are a matching pair of slip on shoulder straps constructed of field grey wool with ribbed cotton tongue reinforcements, the piping is synthetic, garment does not appear to have been worn and is in best condition, there is one small snag to the upper rear center seam, very fine, USD $1550
