Privately made service blouse for an SS-Obersturmführer from the 2nd SS-Standarte (Hessen), privately made and with the woven label of a Berln tailor, the blouse is constructed of ribbed black trikot wool, it has an open collar, two pleated breast patch pockets, two flapped slash hip pockets, turn back cuffs and a centrally vented rear skirt, body linings is of a soft black polished cotton, sleeve linings are candy striped rayon, there is an opening in the liner for suspension of a dagger or sword, there are two internal breast pockets, the silver pebbled buttons are Assmann marked, the lowest front closure button is a later quality replacement, two belt support buttons are positioned at the rear waist, the lower collar edge and collar patches are piped in twisted aluminum metallic cord, the unit collar patch is hand embroidered in aluminum wire, the rank collar patch has three aluminum rank pips and the variant style black/silver metallic rank bar, the rank pips' prongs do not penetrate the collar, both collar patches are machine sewn to the collar, the single shoulder board with its silver aluminum cords on a black wool base is sewn into the shoulder seam, the right upper arm has a hand applied woven silver and black metallic Alter Kämpfer chevron, the SS armband is of multi piece construction, having a black rayon tape swastika machine sewn to a white rayon disk sewn to the wool armband with black rayon tape borders, the armband is hand sewn to the sleeve with red cotton thread, the sleeve band 2 is hand embroidered in aluminum wire and has sever strand metallic borders, it is machine sewn to the left cuff's upper edge, there are original loops for one breast badge, with overall patina from service wear, the hand sewn tailor's label is loose and frayed, the armband shows age and wear, the sleeve band's embroidery is a bit oxidized, the lower sleeve undersides to include the sleeveband show a bit more wear, there are no holes, tears or repairs, USD $9500 SOLD
