VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Unissued Heer M42 drillich service blouse, crisp as the day of manufacture, constructed of sturdy reed green colored drillich cotton, the collar is made of a slightly lighter shade of fabric, blouse has a steel hook and eye at the throat, six button front, four patch pockets with scalloped pocket flaps, adjustable cuffs and rear vented center skirt, the field grey painted pebbled buttons are held with S rings, the shoulder straps buttons are sewn into place, collar liner, bandage pocket and cuff buttons are natural colored pressed paper, all are present and each is originally sewn, lining panels, bandage pocket and belt hook support strap are fashioned from varying shades of grey colored rayon, the vertical internal closure panel is stamped in black ink with sizes and T43 depot, the bandage pocket has a prominent vertical RBNr stamping, the subdued woven pattern insignia was installed during production, the collar Litzen are straight machine stitched, the national emblem, is applied using a machine T-stitch, the threads applying the insignia match those used in the garment's construction, defect free, USD $1550 HOLD
