Published Heer EM black Panzer wrap, constructed of dense high quality black wool and lined in and having pocket bags of slightly contrasting black rayon fabrics, faintly stamped in white ink with sizes and the depot marking E44, the wearer's right internal pocket edge has a white RBNr stamping, the inner closure tabs are made of the same material as the lining, the inner belt hook support straps are webbed and each bears what is most likely postwar inventory markings, the inner waist closure ties are of a grey tape with HBT weave and unfinished ends, the large front closure buttons are of a black composite material, the cuff, lapel and inner tab closure buttons are smaller and conveyed in shape, the factory installed Panzer collar patches with synthetic piping and these are machine stitched, the aluminum Totenkopfen are affixed through the collar with brass prongs, one prong is not visible but is attached, as has been observed with other later production wraps the subdued woven national emblem is hand sewn and appears originally done as it is firmly seated into the fabric, garment is set up for wear with slip on shoulder straps and a pair of Waffen-SS Panzer EM straps are fitted, these are the later production style and have synthetic piping, these are held with blue grey painted pebbled steel buttons, save for a nick to th upping of one shoulder straps, wrap is free of damage and if worn, it was not for long, excellent example, this very wrap is pictured on pages 150-151 (with additional details shown on other pages) of the book Panzer Feldjacke Vol. 1 by Scott Pritchett, USD $5800
