Luftwaffe M35 tan and green sprayed camouflaged helmet, heavy Q64 shell, lot number 1151, inner shell and skirt still have the smooth blue grey factory painted finish, the reinforced aluminum liner bands are dated 1939, the reddish brown colored leather liner is soft with intact fingers, it is stamped size 56 and the liner string remains, the liner section at the forehead area shows darker staining, as if from a liquid, liner washer pins have not been molested, the full length brown leather chinstrap is embossed to maker Franz Brehme with 1938 date, the rear inner skirt has three X characters and a name Mich... scratched to the paint, the external factory paint was sprayed in a yellow/tan base color and over that was subsequently sprayed light swathes of olive paint, the more transparent olive sections cover about 50% of the surface, both decals were removed beforehand but with careful examination the outline of the national colors shield may be seen but rather less of the Luftwaffe eagle decal, collectively the liner pins have about half their camo paint, there are some scratches and gouges to the paint plus a few spots at the top and left where the camo paint is absent and the blue grey finish may be seen, distinctive, USD $3400 NO LONGER AVAILABLE
