VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Any visitor to this site does so with the understanding that it is strictly for the purposes of historical collecting and research as stated above.

Excellent M42 Luftwaffe Sumpftarn Fallschirmjäger jump smock, type constructed of the heavier cotton twill fabric with prominent straw colored assembly threads, the machine zig zag applied national emblem is factory applied, the national emblem is a rare variant being machine emboidered in grey colored cotton threads onto a reed green colored drillich backing, smock has upper internal pocket panels and waist tie tape tunnel of olive colored cotton and with lower pocket bags of reed green drillich material, with white colored waist drawstring tapes having the HBT weave at the internal waist, having the full complement of originally sewn blue glass front closure buttons, PYRM 6 marked press snaps are located at cuffs, wind cuffs and hem, all are present, operational and the majority are free of oxidation, all four white nylon zippers are operational with the pulls embossed Ri-Ri, wind cuffs are constructed of blue grey colored rayon, the rear fittings are complete and without modification, the flare gun holster has two tan colored glass buttons, the left internal chest pocket panel is stamped in black ink with RBNr and size IIb, in almost unissued condition, there are a few small and faint rust stains, there is also a .5cm hole at the left elbow, bright and clean, USD $8000
