VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Published textbook Heer mouse grey Panzer trousers, constructed of light grey colored cotton fabric, trousers are slightly faded from light service use, the exposed external surfaces are a bit yellowed from wear, trousers cut in the identical pattern to the much more common drillich Panzer trousers, they have five flapped button pockets - two asymmetrical hip pockets, one large thigh pocket, and two rear pockets, in addition there are two slash pockets vertically positioned at either hip, trousers have an integral belt made of dark grey webbing including a black painted steel three pronged claw buckle, leg ends are bloused and each has two grey colored tie tapes with HBT weave, all buttons are of naturally colored pressed paper, all are still in place are originally sewn, the inner waist, fly facing and lower inner leg lining materials are of light grey colored rayon, pocket bags are of coarse off white cotton, with faint black RBNr and size stampings to the the inner right waistband, there are a few minor stains and a small section of one inner leg seam is a little loose, trousers are absolutely unaltered and show no damage, the best example we have observed and these very trousers are depicted on page 193 of Panzer Feldjacke: German Armored Crew Uniforms of the Second World War - Vol.4 by Scott Pritchett, USD $5500
