VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Privately tailored service blouse for a Luftwaffe Fallschirm-Division Oberfeldwebel, pre or early war period example constructed from finely ribbed blue grey trikot wool, with open collar, having padded shoulders, four pleated patch pockets with scalloped flaps, four button front, turn back cuffs and centrally vented rear skirt, lining material is a dark grey blue colored rayon, there is an internal waist belt with clasp and one internal breast pocket, the garment is set up for wear with a dagger or sword, the lower edge of the collar is piped in thick golden yellow colored twisted cord, collar patches are of wool and they are carefully hand applied, each collar patch has four aluminum rank gulls and the prongs are hidden, the sewn in shoulder straps are made from the same material as is the tunic, they have synthetic basketweave type piping, each strap has two aluminum rank pips affixed with flat aluminum prongs, the silver metallic NCO Tresse matches and is machine sewn to both collar and shoulder straps, the small shoulder strap buttons are silver painted zinc, the blouse's remaining pebbled alloy buttons are marked Teitz u. Gossmann, the national emblem is hand embroidered in aluminum wires onto issue wool, it is hand applied, the Fallschirm-Division sleeve band is machine embroidered onto soft green wool and it is machine sewn to the right upper cuff, the ribbon bar with EKII, Ostmedaille and Long Service ribbons is pinned through the fabric above the breast pocket, there are loops for two breast badges, blouse exhibits light wear and soiling, there are a few minor insect nips to the lower left sleeve and the concealed part of the lower skirt, there are a few other picks to the fabric here and there, attractive garment that was likely reserved for best wear, USD $6750
