Early issue Heer overcoat as worn by an Infanterie Leutnant, standard issue coat with modifications for wear by an officer, a larger dark green badge cloth covered pointed collar was substituted, this is held closed with a brass hook and eye, shoulders were padded by opening the internal shoulder lining seams, the issue shoulder strap bridles were removed and a pair of Infanterie Leutnant shoulder boards sewn into the shoulder seams, the boards have subdued metallic tops on white badge cloth, a dagger/sword hanger was added and a finished slit for the suspension of a weapon added to the left internal hip pocket flap area, the coat itself is manufacture from pre war quality issue wool and is double breasted, it is closed by six pairs of field grey painted pebbled buttons, the same kind of buttons are used to secure the shoulder boards and rear waist belt, lining and pocket bags are of ribbed cotton, there is one internal chest pocket, the lining is stamped in black ink above the internal pocket with maker information, sizes and '38 date, each sleeve has a turn back cuff and there are tow flapped hip pockets, the rear center skirt is vented and can be buttoned closed with four horn buttons, the hem is raw as issued, coat is clean and was lightly worn, no holes, tears, repairs or other damage are noted, USD $790
