Heer M42 service blouse for an Infanterie Unteroffizier, standard issue example with a typical wartime alteration, the skirt has been slightly shortened and the lower pockets with bellows removed relocated, size and H 42 depot stampings were made in black ink, lining is of grey colored ribbed cotton, the internal belt hook support straps have been removed if they were ever fitted, bandage pocket, collar liner and cuff buttons are grey colored glass, all are present and originally stitched, the field grey painted pebbled steel buttons have most of their paint and are originally sewn, body is constructed of mid war quality field grey colored issue wool, the collar has a steel hook and eye at the throat, four unpleased pockets with scalloped pocket flaps, six button front closure and adjustable cuffs, the woven subdued insignia is factory stitched, the collar Litzen are straight machine stitch and the national emblem is zig zag machine stitched through the lining, the matched pair of slip on shoulder straps have synthetic piping and ribbed cotton tongue reinforcements, the silver metallic Tresse is all machine stitched, at one time a badge was pinned through the breast pocket and a pair of original badge loops is located adjacent to this position, a ribbon had been applied to the second buttonhole at one time, blouse shows little nap wear and presents an overall cast of light wear, no damage or repairs are noted, USD $2250
