Marvelous award document and photo group pertaining to Oberfeldwebel Fritz Rapp of 2./Pz.Rgt. Großdeutschland, includes Soldbuch, award documents, battle report, Vorschlag for DKiG, letter of congratulations and period Panzer-related photos, the well used and filled out Soldbuch depicts subject wearing black Panzer wrap with GD cyphers, it was necessary to insert a second page to list all of the awards which include PAB in Silver, EKII, EKI, BWB, SWB, DKiG and PAB II Stufe (25), Soldbuch cover was period reinforced with tape and the cover is a little loose; the award documents in order of receipt - large format EKII dated 12.7.42 pen signed by RKT Generalmajor Hoernlein, BWB dated 31.12.42 pen signed by RKT Major Pössl, SWB dated 15.9.43 pen signed by Chefstabsarzt, EKI dated 16.1.43 pen signed by RKT Generalmajor Hoernlein, two DkIG documents, regular and large format, both dated 3.11.43 and both with facsimile RKT GFM Keitel signatures and finally, the document for PAB II Stufe (25) dated 27.4.1944 and signed by RKT Oberst Langkeit, some of the documents have been folded, none are hole punched, the large format DKiG has a couple of spots at the edges; the exciting single page battle report summarizes action against Soviet armored forces resulting in the destruction of ten T34s and other vehicles, the three page Vorschlag for the DKiG dated 25.8.43 provides further details about the battles, there is a letter of congratulations from RKT Major Pössl dated 15.12.43, these three documents are hole punched; there are seven original photos of Oberfeldwebel Rapp in black wrap with awards, Panzer III and IV, crew wearing drillich wraps, winter clothing, in Panzer, etc.; five postwar prints show a comrade wearing GD black wrap, crew in drillich wraps, officer wearing four TDBs; finally there is a death card for RKT Major Pössl, amazing group, USD $16,500 SOLD
