Privately tailored service blouse for a Heer Major from Infanterie-Regiment 166, with woven label from a Bonn tailor, constructed from early quality field grey colored trikot wool, having a dark green badge cloth covered stand and fall color fastened with two sets of brass hook and eye, with five button front close, four pleated patch pockets, turn back cuffs and centrally vented skirt, lining is of grey colored rayon, there is a dagger hanger of the same fabric and one internal breast pocket, sleeves have candy striped linings, the field grey pebbled buttons to include those for the shoulder boards are officer quality and marked EXTRA FEIN, the Infanterie officer quality collar patches are originally hand sewn with black cotton thread, the sewn in shoulder boards have subdued braided cords on white wool bases with gilt finished numerals, the national emblem is hand embroidered in aluminum wires with green thread highlights, it is hand applied with black thread, there are three original loops for a ribbon bar, two badges were worn on the left breast with one certainly original loop, and the remnants of another remaining, substitute loops have been applied for the missing and these may be postwar done, garment is clean but shows areas of light insect (or rodent) damage to the right collar patch, the upper corners of the collar patches are worn at the neck line, there is light scattered moth tracking which is more evident in the photos than in person, there is a small hole to the fabric at the right rear belt line, USD $1750
