Impressive matched set of piped service blouse and matching breeches for a Heer Generalstab Oberstleutnant, privately tailored from high quality materials, the blouse is constructed from soft, light weight field grey colored trikot wool, having a dark green badge cloth stand and fall collar with two sets of hooks and eyes, four pleated patch pockets, turn back cuffs and vented skirt, the lower edge of the dark green collar, the blouse's front closure and the upper edge of the turn back cuffs are piped in crimson colored wool, the lining is of a dark grey colored rayon, there is a single internal breast pocket with a vertical opening and there are fittings for the suspension of a dagger or sword, there is an internal waistband with two large flat hooks, the high quality silver pebbled metal buttons are marked Extra Fein, all match and look to be originally sewn, the shoulder board buttons are the narrower diameter type, the collar patch embroidery is hand rendered in aluminum wires onto a crimson colored wool base and these are hand applied to the collar, the Oberstleutnant rank shoulder boards have bright metallic cords on a crimson colored wool base and are tightly sewn into the shoulder seams, each has a single gilt rank pip, the hand embroidered national emblem is worked in aluminum wires onto a dark green badge cloth base, it is originally hand sewn, there are loops for a ribbon bar, provision for the installation of a screw back breast badge, and an EKII ribbon sewn to the second buttonhole, there are a few scattered lightish stains here and there and these are made more prominent, as usual, by the camera, the collar patches exhibit light oxidation, otherwise all is clean and bright, an adjutant aiguillette is included, there is no button under the right shoulder board to anchor it; the accompanying breeches are made of a heavier, lighter shade of trikot wool, they have a Berlin tailor's name label dated 19 Dec. '44 for Obesrtlt. v. Stockhausen (or perhaps Stackhausen), the breeches have a built in waist belt with flat hook, two buttoned hip pockets, a watch pocket and a pair of flapped and buttoned rear pockets, there are rightening straps at the outer waist, the inner waistband is of grey colored rayon, fly facing is cotton twill, pocket bags are flat cotton, buttons are a combination of horn and plastic, the outer leg seams have crimson colored wool piping, the seat is reinforced with suede leather, the calves have laces with rayon panels that may be buttoned closed, breeches are in excellent condition with just one tiny scuff to the fabric at lower fly, super attractive set, USD $5700
