Lightweight four pocket service blouse for a highly decorated Luftwaffe Oberstabsarzt, constructed in conformance with the standard Luftwaffe four pocket service blouse but out of blue cotton twill material, it has an open collar, four pocket front closure, four pleated patch pockets with the pocket flaps lacking scallops, turn back cuffs and a centrally vented skirt, lining and dagger hanger are fashioned from black rayon, there is one internal breast pocket, with candy striped sleeve linings, the silver pebbled buttons are maker marked FRIEDRICH LINDEN, the shoulder board buttons are the smaller type, the collar's lower edge is piped in thick twisted silver metallic cord, the collar patches have aluminum wire embroidery on dark blue colored wool with twisted silver piping and are hand sewn, the sewn in shoulder boards have bright metallic cords on dark blue bases and each board has a gilt metallic aesculapius and two gilt finished glass rank pips, the national emblem is hand rendered in aluminum wires on blue grey colored wool, it is hand sewn to the breast, blouse has original badge loops for a long ribbon bar and four or five breast badges, at one time ribbon(s) had been applied to the first closure buttonhole, garment shows significant sun fading to exposed surfaces, there is abrading to the neck line, the center back seam was period machine darned with the lining being undisturbed, a neat reaper was made to the right rear upper sleeve where it meets the shoulder, there is light chafing to the cuff edges, really interesting and obviously a garment favored for wear by its former owner, USD $1750
