Pleasing Erel contract visored cap for a Heer Kavallerie officer, later quality Erel product with label from a Potsdam based retailer, the cap's body is made of field grey colored trikot wool, the thick golden yellow colored piping is of wool as is the dark green badge cloth cap band, the national emblem and wreath with metal rosettes have hand embroidery in aluminum wires on badge cloth, both pieces are hand applied with black thread which does not penetrated the lining, composite visor is defect free, the metallic wire chin cord is held with two grey finished zinc buttons attached with prongs, having light golden colored ribbed rayon lining, celluloid sweat diamond is complete but some of the stitching is loose, the retailer's label is applied with adhesive, the grey leather sweatband has the Erel logo embossed at the right temple, a portion of the sweatband has come detached at the left forehead position, the lower left rear edge of the cap has some insect damage, besides that there is no damage to cap body or piping and the cap is clean and bright with a high peak, about size 56, USD $1380
