VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Perfect unissued Waffen-SS contract assault gun trousers, constructed of mid war quality German made field grey wool, with two flapped front pockets each having two closure buttons and one flapped rear pocket with button, having a small watch pocket, external belt loops and waist tightening straps with blued alloy buckles at each outer hip, the seat is reinforced, trousers are lined at the inner waist in soft ribbed white cotton, the pocket bags and fly facing are made of light grey colored coarse cotton, the lower leg linings are made of a similar coarse fabric but in off white, the fly buttoning panel is grey colored rayon with HBT weave, size stampings in black ink are applied to the inner waistband, flat black plastic 'SS style; buttons are used to secure the pocket flaps and fly, the inner waistband has two more black plastic buttons, all buttons are present and originally sewn, the tapered leg ends have ankle ties are of taupe colored flat HBT tape with unfinished ends, trousers appear to be unworn and have just light age yellowing to the lining components, the fabric is absolutely undamaged, 'textbook' example and much more difficult to find than the matching wraps, veteran acquired in 1953 and has never been in another collection, USD $7650
