Outstanding unissued Waffen-SS contract M42 service blouse, splendid example exhibiting all of the characteristics particular to this model in a desirable large size - large collar, five button front, two belt hook buttonholes per position, horizontal bandage pocket button; constructed of mid war quality field grey colored German made wool, lined in and with belt hook support straps and bandage pocket of slightly contrasting light grey colored rayon fabrics, the vertical buttoning lining panel is stamped in black ink Betr. Ra. (Betrieb Ravensbrück) and with sizes including chest size 98, the painted pebbled field grey buttons match and are originally stitched, shoulder board bridles are installed but shoulder strap buttons were never sewn into place, the bandage pocket button is light grey colored glass and the left cuff has one button of the same type, the other three cuff buttons are absent, blouse has a steel hook and eye at the throat, with five button front, four unpleated patch pockets, scalloped pocket flaps, the two lower pockets are the large bellowed type, cuffs are adjustable and the rear skirt is centrally vented, the machine embroidered in silver grey thread on black wool SS sleeve is machine applied in a combination T-stitch/zig zag fashion, no other insignia were applied, condition is excellent, there is a tiny area the size of a fingertip of slight insect grazing to the wool at the center back, the lining panels have taken on various shades of age yellowing and there are the three missing cuff buttons, ultra desirable and the best example of this type we have seen, veteran acquired in 1953 and has never been in a collection, USD $10,800
