VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Clemens Wagner made Waffen-SS M40 officer's overseas cap, example having seen light service use and showing traces of age and wear, having the standard SS boat-shaped cut and made of ribbed trikot wool, cap has integral machine applied white wool piping along the turn up, lined in olive green colored polished cotton and having the oval Clemens Wagner stamping in black ink with size 55, with machine woven white on black SS cap eagle and flat silver skull, there are a couple of picks to the insignia and there are a few spots of insignificant insect tracking, at the eagle's right wingtip area, the the mid right body (with a small hole) and, very light, to the left side, the third example that we have observed from this maker with the exact same combination of insignia, USD $6200
