VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Service used Heer pullover shirt with two breast pockets, constructed of soft field grey colored knit fabric, having tow pleated breast pockets with scalloped pocket flaps, the front placket, pockets and cuffs are fastened with pressed paper buttons, having a long skirt with vented sides, if there were marking they are no longer readable, the numbers 159 have been hand embroidered into the placket point using white thread, shirt shows wear, fading and has a few light stains, the left pocket's lower seam was resewn and there are fingertip sized holes to the left upper arm and right rear shoulder area, USD $450
