Attractive early first pattern Heer tropical blouse for a Panzergrenadier Unteroffizier, initial standard production example that was modified by a tailor, constructed of the more sage green colored cotton twill and having the open collar with hand sewn seams between collar edge and lapels, with a five button front, adjustable cuffs and centrally vented rear skirt, the modifications include padding added to the shoulders to present a more heroic fit, the sleeve ends were shortened by a few centimeters, the buttons removed and the openings sewn into a closed position, the skirt was also shortened and the pockets reduced slightly in length while retaining their bellowing characteristics and then relocated slightly upward, the bandage pocket was also relocated wen the skirt modifications were done, the shoulder pads were fashioned from lining materials including inserts and then tacked into the shoulders with olive cotton thread, the lining components, bandage pocket and belt hook support straps are made from tan and olive colored flat cotton sections, the inner vertical buttoning panel is stamped in black ink with the sizes and the panel's reverse has the maker's stamp, Robert Krebs of Berlin, the matching field grey painted buttons are held with S rings, the bandage pocket button is pressed paper, the woven tropical pattern collar Litzen are straight machine stitched with hand finished ends, the earliest pattern woven tropical national emblem is hand sewn with olive brown cotton thread, the tropical pattern NCO Tresse is hand sewn to the lower collar edge using olive colored cotton thread and this same thread was used to attach the shoulder pads, the EKII ribbon and the woven Afrikakorps sleeveband (the sleeveband also has additional attachment threads of light grey colored cotton), the shoulder strap bridles' attachment were reinforced with brown cotton thread, the matched pair of slip on shoulder straps are made of the matching sage green material, have rayon piping and have machine applied tropical pattern NCO Tresse, there are a pair of badge loops for the Italo-German African Campaign Medal ribbon bar, it appears that the tailor's modifications were made at the same time and most likely for walking out purposes, with the exception of a small brownish stain to the left rear shoulder, garment is bright and condition is excellent, super appealing, USD $4850
