VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Any visitor to this site does so with the understanding that it is strictly for the purposes of historical collecting and research as stated above.

Service used set of reversible Heer Sumpftarn winter suit, padded jacket, and trousers printed on one side in the Sumpftarn camouflage pattern with the reverse side being white, coat with built in hood and knotted white neck cord, having two flapped and buttoned hip pockets, front closure with wind flap, the reverse of the wind flap is stamped with RBNr, size II and '44 date, having tie tapes at the waist and tightening straps at the wrist, the camouflage side has field grey painted pebbled steel buttons, the pebbled steel buttons on the white side are painted white, each upper outer sleeve has a pressed paper button for the application of identification bands, the accompanying reversible trousers have built in adjustable braces of white webbed material, there are two flapped hip pockets and these are closed with dished steel buttons, the fly has field grey painted pebbled steel buttons, the leg ends have ties of HBT textured white tape, the set was worn and shows a bit of soiling, particularly the white side, the upper left shoulder of the coat has a small hole, the pants have a damaged area to the fabric at the left hip and there is a wartime machine darned repair to the left outer knee area and an adjacent L shaped tear repaired with back thread, USD $2250 HOLD
