VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Rare Kriegsmarine M35 double decal helmet, shell stamped ET64, lot number 4465, having the factory pea green colored finish, the multi layered deep gilt colored eagle decal has a couple of fine scratches, the national colors shield shows a few scuffs, the helmet's finish is lightly service worn with fine scratches and some areas of minor rust to the dome, there are faint traces of dripped liquid to the front dome, the dome stamp includes the 1938 date, the left liner pin has about half its paint, the right and rear pin have about 75% of their paint remaining, the reinforced aluminum liner bands are marked to a Berlin maker and dated 1939, all pins have their washers and are firmly attached, the brown colored leather liner is stamped size 57, the former owner's name and (perhaps) rank or unit are inked to the rear liner section, the original drawstring is still in place, the full length M proofed chinstrap is embossed with its Berlin maker information and 1938 date, it is quite uncommon to find a KM M35 with the national colors shield still intact, USD $13,850
