VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Excellent combat Police M35 double decal helmet, earlier example with smoother factory paint, having a borderless police and party decals which are at least 95% intact, with almost total paint coverage but with a couple of scuffs to the left upper front dome, there are dark scratches to the right rear, likely from the helmet having come into contact with equipment and scattered tiny rust colored dots, the liner pins have all of their paint, all pins are tight, the inner dome has a clear 1938 dated stamp, the reinforced aluminum liner bands are also dated 1938, the leather liner is in excellent condition and is stamped size 57, helmet shell is stamped NS64, lot number is D145, drawstring remains, the excellent full length chinstrap is marked to a Berlin maker and dated 1938, exceptional example, USD $4275
