Full profile

Heer M35 single decal pinkish tan colored rough textured camouflaged helmet, the Heer eagle decal is covered but its faint outline may be observed, the distinctively toned rough textured camouflaged layer was applied by hand, the camouflaged layer appears to have been the third (or fourth), painted over a rough textured finish which covered the original smooth factory paint, the shell's painted surface has small chips, larger gouges and areas of missing paint, especially at the top, where the camo paint is missing, the left and right liner pins just have traces of tan paint while the rear is almost completely covered, the coverage percentage of the camouflaged layer is estimated at 70%, the inner skirt's surface is mostly covered with later paint but the original factory paint is also visible to the inner dome, there is light rust and drabs of white paint to this area, the rear skirt has the former owner's name painted in white, an earlier name and rank, for a Feldwebel, was painted over, the reinforced aluminum liner bands are dated 1939, liner washers are all present and the pins are tight, there is considerable dirt and dust buildup between bands and shell, the leather liner is darkened and chafed, one finger is damaged, liner string is still present, the full length chinstrap is faintly maker marked but the date is unreadable, shell is stamped SE64, lot number is 4396, a true 'been there' example that saw extensive service use, most likely in the Mediterranean theaters and perhaps even in North Africa as this hue is often associated with service there, USD $4000
