VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Matching service used '40 dated 98k bayonet with Heer tropical frog, having matching numbers, bayonet's blade is embossed W.K.C. with serial number, the scabbard's throat is stamped W.K.C. 1940 with serial number, having bakelite grips, with proofs to scabbard tip and handle, scabbard with wear to the blued finish, the unsharpened blade has a mottled plum colored finish, the olive colored webbed frog has a faint black ink maker's stamp to the reverse, USD $485
