VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Any visitor to this site does so with the understanding that it is strictly for the purposes of historical collecting and research as stated above.

Set of custom made service blouse and trousers for a Luftwaffe Flight Feldwebel, high quality set with the blouse having a woven label from a Greifswald tailor, both pieces are constructed of earlier quality blue grey colored trikot wool, blouse has an open collar, four button front and four pleated pockets with scalloped pocket flaps, the blouse is lined in blue grey colored rayon and has one internal pocket plus an integral waist belt with buckle, the silver (partially) finished pebbled buttons are marked DEUTSCHE ARBEIT, the collar's lower edge has golden yellow twisted cord piping and machine applied metallic NCO Tresse, the wool collar patches are hand applied and the gulls' prongs protrude through the collar, the sewn in shoulder straps are made of the same fabric as is the tunic and have rayon basketweave piping, machine applied metallic NCO Tresse and a single rank pip each, blouse has the seldom seen and originally hand sewn mounted flatwire Luftwaffe national emblem, the DLV Glider Proficiency Badge is hand embroidered in aluminum wires underneath the left breast pocket and is hand applied, above the left lower cuff is sewn a machine embroidered Radio Operator specialty patch, it has metallic silver twisted borders and is hand sewn, there are original badge loops for a flight clasp and a five place ribbon bar including EKII and Long Service awards, three sets of badge loops applied to the left breast pocket, in addition, a rare early NCO yellow duty lanyard with silver painted wooden ferrules is semi-permanently attached by it being sewn to the right shoulder strap button, blouse shows some minor staining to the lining, has a tiny cut to the rear center collar and a small darned repair to the right rear upper shoulder; the trousers have a small watch pocket, two slash hip pockets and a zippered rear pocket, pocket bags are of soft grey colored cotton, the fly buttons are brown plastic, there is a large hook and eye at the waistband, a black elastic loop is located at the upper outer fly, perhaps to hold a waist belt into place as there are belt loops at the outer waist, cuffs are hemmed with reinforcing tape, the trousers too show light age but are without damage, handsome set, USD $2250
