VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Set of Tuchrock and visored cap for a Luftwaffe Flak Feldwebel, blouse is in the standard configuration for a Luftwaffe Tuchrock, intended to be worn with open collar, having a four button front closure, four pleated patch pockets and turn back cuffs, lining and internal belt hook support straps are of grey colored ribbed cotton, there is one internal pocket and provision has been made to suspend a dagger or sword, the pebbled silver finished buttons match all look to be originally sewn, the lining is stamped in black ink with maker information, sizes (chest size 106), and LBA38, there are additional stampings for a Flight Staffel and originally the blouse was configured for wear with golden yellow colored flight insignia and traces of the original collar patch stitching may be observed at collar reverse, however, Flak insignia was wartime applied, the hochrot colored badge cloth collar patches are machine sewn, each has three rank gulls with collar protruding prongs, the collar's lower edge has machine applied metallic NCO Tresse, the matching sewn in shoulder straps have machine applied metallic NCO Tresse and a single rank pip each, the machine embroidered national emblem is originally hand sewn, there are loops for a multi place ribbon bar, a badge was pinned to the breast pocket at one time, blouse is in excellent condition with light age, some minor staining to the lining and some fraying to the buttonholes, the body is damage free; the named visored cap has a celluloid sweat diamond with the Berlin maker's information and former owner's name tag, it is lined in orange colored oilcloth and has tan colored leather sweatband, the reverse of the sweatband is stamped 1./Flak-Rgt. 14 with 1938 date, cap body is made of issue quality blue grey colored wool, it has red wool piping and a black mohair cap band with composite visor having oilcloth trim to the edge, there is an adjustable black patent leather chinstrap, the aluminum national emblem and wreath are affixed with prongs and look to be he original application, cap body and piping are pristine with just the interior showing stating from wear, the sweat diamond is cracked on one edge and a label looks to have been stapled to the sweatband at one time, nice ensemble, USA $1650
