VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Any visitor to this site does so with the understanding that it is strictly for the purposes of historical collecting and research as stated above.

Converted Dutch service blouse for a Heer Artillerie Offizieranwärter with Ostmedaille award document, Dutch service blouse converted for use by the German Heer, constructed of field grey colored Dutch wool and having a dark green badge cloth collar with a prominent steel hook and eye added, pleated patch breast and lower cargo pockets of closely matching wool were sewn to the body, the cuffs are not adjustable nor is there a rear vented skirt, with quilted lining of grey colored cotton, having a seven button front and all buttons are worn field grey painted alloy, the collar has a pair of machine applied first type mounted universal collar Litzen, the lower edge of the collar has Luftwaffe style metallic NCO Tresse, the matched pair of German made slip on shoulder straps have dark green upper panels, wool piping and machine applied Heer style metallic NCO Tresse, each strap has Offizieranwärter slides and a single rank pip, the national emblem is machine embroidered in silver grey threads on dark green felt and is hand applied, an Ostmedaille ribbon is sewn to the second buttonhole, garment shows significant service use and has nap wear, nicked cuff edges and soiling to the collar edge, includes the Ostmedaille award document named to a Gefreiter with typed entries, dated 1. Sept. 1942 and pen signed by an Oberst, it has been folded, USD $1600
