VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Any visitor to this site does so with the understanding that it is strictly for the purposes of historical collecting and research as stated above.

Set of service used grey leather Kriegsmarine jacket and trousers for bridge personnel, both pieces are made of supple thick grey colored leather, the jacket has a stand collar closed with a hook and eye and has a single row of five large grey colored KM buttons, there are two flapped waist pockets and a single left hand breast pocket with a horizontal flap, each cuff has an adjustment strap with two buttons, the jacket is lined in dark grey colored woolen blanket material, the internal elasticized wind cuffs are made of the same material, there is one internal pocket, the manufacturer tag applied to the lower inner neck area is faded; the accompanying trousers are lined in a grey colored oilcloth fabric, there are two hip pockets and a tightening strap with buckle at the rear, a large blackened metal hook and eye are positioned at the waistband closure, buttons for fly and waistband braces are of tan colored plastic, all are present and originally sewn, the inner left fly lining is stamped with a prominent red brown colored eagle over M, the coat shows the most use and exhibits a somewhat reflective oily sheen, the trousers exhibit less staining but do have some fine spotting, the leather of both are free of damage, 'been there' set, USD $950
