Heavy blanket lined later war Waffen-SS overcoat, type as often seen being worn (usually without shoulder straps) during operation Operation Wacht am Rhein as shown in the famous photos of Kampfgruppe Hansen on the attack, outer shell panels assembled from later quality thick field grey wool, type without hood, having the large collar, slash chest pockets, hip pockets with rectangular shaped pocket flaps positioned horizontally, having a vented skirt, reinforced hem and adjustable rear belt, with factory installed shoulder strap bridles, shoulder strap buttons were never installed, with field grey painted pebbled metal buttons originally sewn to the front and rear belt, dark grey glass buttons are used to button the skirt and one is absent, coat dimensions are stamped in black ink to an inner facing wool panel and are just barely discernible, the grey flannel-like blanket lining has one internal pocket, the former owner's initial tag is sewn to the pocket opening, the machine embroidered sleeve eagle is factory zig zag sewn, coat was definitely service used and shows light wear and soiling, there is no mothing or repairs of any kind, due to the coat's heavy weight shipping will be quoted separately for this item, USD $3150
