Plush Paul Kaps made visored cap for a Heer Pionier officer, lovely example of the highest quality, the field grey colored wool cap body is made of ultra fine doeskin wool, the cap band is of dark green badge cloth, black wool piping edges the cap band, and the crown piping is of a slightly thicker diameter, with flexible leather visor having the usual fine age cracking, the silver metallic chin cord is held into place with a pair of silver pebbled buttons, lining is of soft black rayon with the Kaps logo embossed to the top panel, the grey colored leather sweatband is also embossed Kaps at the left temple, the zinc national emblem is held with prongs and does not appear to have been disturbed, its prongs do not extend through the lining, the borderless hand embroidered bullion wreath with multi piece rosette give the appearance of being directly embroidered to the cap band but are, in fact, carefully applied by hand, size is about 59 and condition is excellent, there is light soling and there is some chafing to the lower edge piping at the cap's rear, nice one, USD $2300 HOLD
