Rare Alter Art style visored cap for a Heer Truppensonderdienst officer, of late manufacture and construction as the TSD branch did not come into existence until 1944, this beautiful cap's body is made of later issue quality field grey wool, its cap band is dark green badge cloth and the wool piping is the distinctive cornflower blue color, having a black leather visor and supple brown leather sweatband with foam rubber cushion at the forehead position, the lining is of two different textures of brilliant blue rayon, the celluloid sweat diamond has the Cobra logo including legend DIE GUTE MÜTZE, insignia include flatwire on subdued national emblem and pre war flatwire on tan wreath, both pieces are originally hand sewn, condition is beautiful, estimate size 58, no flaws, do not recall another example, USD $3000
