Heer Panzer officer's visored cap manufactured by the firm of Hermann Potthoff, Coesfeld, the cream colored rayon lining is imprinted with the HPC logo with the Frischluft legend and the breather system is installed, the celluloid sweat diamond is absent but the stitches that had attached it are still in place, having a full tan colored leather sweatband with embossed edges, the cap itself is saddle shaped and has an extremely high peak, the body is made of very finely ribbed field grey colored trikot wool, having a dark green badge cloth cap band and with rosa colored piping of wool, the silver metallic chin cord is attached by two silver pebbled buttons held into place with prongs, the black composite visor is finely cracked and has a couple of chips to the edges, the national emblem is aluminum and it is affixed without penetrating the lining - and there are no holes opposite, the cap has a padded wreath and rosette (covering the vented grommets) with the hand embroidered aluminum wires showing traces of oxidation in the crevices, large cap size, estimate 59, there is wear and sweat stating to interior and sweatband, thumbing to the under visor, externally the cap is lightly soiled, the cap body itself is damage free but the cap band has a few small insect holes to the front right and a couple more to the rear, photographed on a form, good looking service used example, USD $1650 HOLD
