VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Service used Heer splittertarn camouflaged helmet cover, constructed of five panels of cotton material with the splinter pattern camo printed on one side and with the reverse side being white, the seven foliage loops are made of the same camo fabric and are machine constructed and attached via machine sewing, the drawstring is made of doubled white tape machine sewn, the inner side is stamped in black ink SS 03208, there is rust staining to the brim area and one machine darned repair using a patch of Zeltbahn material measuring roughly 2x2cm on the inside, the cover was photographed on a size 64 shell (helmet NOT included), in excellent and unused condition, the best, USD $2950
