Perfect Heer black Panzer officer's overseas cap, a high quality privately made example constructed of finely ribbed black trikot wool, with built in silver metallic piping at crown and front turn up, having a typical pair of private purchase style black finished ventilation grommets, lining is of ribbed black cotton stamped in white ink size 55, above that is stamped what appears to be the letter H in red, the partial tan colored leather sweatband is embossed Qualitäts Marke, the woven flat silver on black national emblem is attached in the 'zip and flip' style with a single line of straight stitching across the top of the eagle's wing with the eagle then being folded over and with the lower edges hand sewn, the three dimensional bullion rosette is hand applied, the rosa colored soutache is straight machine sewn, in absolutely unworn condition, USD $6500
