The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Large group of awards, documents and effects related to German Cross in Gold bearer Oberfeldwebel Alfons Förderer of Pi.Btl. 205, serving with the 205th Infanterie Division in the Kurland pocket, Oberfeldwebel Förderer was awarded the German Cross in Gold on 8 August 1944, the group includes Förderer's DKiG marked 20 (Zimmerman) on the reverse of the pin, the badge has his initials scratched into the reverse, badge highlights are worn but there is no enamel damage, also included is a 65 marked EKI with rust to the face, unmarked EKII and ribbon, unmarked general assault badge, DRL sports badge plus Ostfront and Westwall medals without ribbons, in addition there is a single shoulder strap for a Pionier Oberfeldwebel (the tongue has been removed), additionally there are a several post war badges, a stickpin and vest chain with commemorative mini awards, documents include well filled out Soldbuch with notation of award of DKiG, photo attached to the reverse with Förderer in M43 tunic wearing DKiG, award documents for DKiG, EKI, EKII, Sturmabzeichen, black wound badge, Ostmedal, Westwall medal, two long service awards, letter of notification to Förderer's parents about the award of the DKiG, letter of congratulations and gift of 12 Fl. Rotwein and 300 Zigaretten from the commanding general of 205. Inf.Div. (signed by adjutant), congratulations letter from Bürgermeister of the town of Marbach, American certificate of discharge, multiple copies of Lebenslauf with photos, various newspaper articles, letters from the Ordengemeinschaft Deutsches Kreuz in Gold e.V., many postwar award documents, postwar Reisepass and Fuhrereschein, a death notice, a large pile of maps and documents too numerous to mention here, inquire to info@virtualgrenadier.com for additional details, USD $7500 WITHDRAWN
