VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Exceptional Luftwaffe Fliegerbluse for a Pionier Feldwebel, earlier example made to a high production standard, constructed of high quality issue blue grey wool and having lining, pocket bags and belt hook support straps of grey colored ribbed cotton, the internal breast pockets, the bandage pocket, cuff, under collar buttoning tab and collar liner are all provisioned with black glass buttons, none are missing and all are originally sewn, the larger four front closure buttons are of blue grey colored plastic, the buttons securing the hip pocket flaps are blue painted pebbled steel, the shoulder strap buttons are the same but of a smaller diameter, all of these buttons too are originally sewn, the left internal pocket panel is stamped in black ink with maker information, LBA 41, and sizes, a separate L.B.A.Bf.41 stamp is positioned vertically below the other markings, the black wool collar patches are machine applied, five silver washed zinc rank gulls are affixed with prongs penetrating the collar, the sixth rank gull is aluminum with brass prongs, the matched pair of slip on shoulder straps have black wool piping and each has a silver rank pip, the tongue reinforcements are of blue grey colored ribbed cotton, the metallic Luftwaffe style NCO Tresse is machine sewn to lower collar edge and shoulder straps, the machine embroidered national emblem is originally hand sewn and is snugly seated into the fabric, there is absolutely no trace of any other breast eagle having been applied, there are original badge loops for a single badge on the right breast and two plus a short ribbon bar on the left breast, condition is immaculate with just the slightest indication of wear the the collar edge where it met the neck, beautiful garment in a rare Waffenfarbe, USD $1550 NEW PRICE
