VirtualGrenadier is a non-political informational and commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German soldier 1939-1945 through the use of period photographs, by showcasing examples from private collections, and by offering original examples for sale. The site is intended for use by researchers, archivists and collectors of historical military memorabilia. This site carries no affiliation whatsoever with any political ideology. Lightly used second type Heer piped collar black Panzer wrap for a Feldwebel, wrap body made of dense high quality black wool, lined in and with pockets, belt hook support straps, tie tunnels and buttoning tabs of ribbed light grey colored cotton, the off white colored waist ties are a gauze like material, stamped in black ink with Erfurt based maker information, sizes and E.38 depot, having four large black composite doughnut shaped buttons at the front closure and with smaller black composite buttons for closure of lapel, for fastening button tabs and with a pair for closing each cuff, all buttons remain and are originally and tightly sewn, cuff lining components are of light grey and black ribbed cotton, with a black painted steel hook and eye at the throat, the large pointed collar is piped in bright rosa colored wool, the Panzer collar patches are piped in the same material and each is factory machine straight stitch applied to the collar, each collar patch has an aluminum Totenkopf with round brass prongs which penetrate the collar, the first type woven Panzer national emblem is factory hand applied, the matching shoulder straps also have the same rosa colored wool piping and are sewn in but not sewn down, each strap has machine applied metallic NCO Tresse and a single silver rank pip, the pebbled steel shoulder strap buttons have the number 4, there are original loops for one breast badge, wrap was worn but shows minor use, there are no holes, tears, damage or alteration, very difficult to find and extremely desirable, USD $8750 HOLD
