Early privately made Fliegerbluse for a Luftwaffe Flight Oberleutnant and member of Jagdgeschwader 2 Richthofen, tailored from fine premium blue grey colored quality trikot wool, lined in blue grey rayon and having one internal breast pocket, the former owner's information was cut from the name label machine sewn into the pocket, sleeve linings are white rayon, having an open collar, four large blue grey colored glass button front closure, two slash hip pockets with the left pocket having a D ring for the suspension of a dagger, the collar is piped in thick twisted silver metallic cord, the Oberleutnant rank collar patches are straight machine stitched, the shoulder boards of matching rank are tightly sewn into the shoulder seams, each board has a single gilt rank pip, the early pattern national emblem is hand embroidered in aluminum wires on blue grey colored wool, it is hand applied, the sleeve band's title is hand embroidered in aluminum wires onto a dark blue wool base, it is hand applied to the sleeve with black thread, there are loops for (most likely) a Spanish Cross or German Cross in Gold below the national emblem, the left breast has loops for a flight bar, ribbon bar and two breast badges, an EKII ribbon is sewn over one lapel corner, condition is excellent with no damage to the fabric, there are a couple of small lightish stains to the cuffs but one would have to look very closely to find them, superb example, USD $4850
